Should I Outsource?
Outsourcing any portion of your product development raises many concerns. Will I lose control of my project? Will I be kept informed? Will the deliverables of the project be met on time? These are concerns we are well aware of at Formatech and we address these concerns by providing excellent project management.
Understanding Your Project
The first step and most difficult in outsourcing a development project is defining the goals of the project. Formatech will work with you to clarify project goals and timelines. A technical discussion will be required to determine what is already known versus what needs to be discovered to reach the project goals. Typical development project may last from several weeks for a small project to nine months for a comprehensive development project encompassing pre-formulation through lyophilization.
Providing a Proposal and Quotation
Once we feel we have a thorough understanding of the project, we will submit a detailed proposal for your review. Once you have reviewed the proposal and agreed to the deliverables, we will issue a quotation.
Letter of Authorization
Once you had accepted our proposal, we will then generate a letter of authorization. The signing of this letter officially begins your development project.
Information Exchange Is the Key to Success
At the point of project initiation, you will be put in contact with your project manager. A timeline for the project will be issued and plans will be made to ensure good project communication. A data update FAX will be issued every other week and a formal report is included in the cost of the project.
